I'm Lisa Anderson, MSN, PMHNP-BC — a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and founder of Anderson Psychiatric Care. I provide personalized psychiatric evaluation and medication management through secure telehealth for adolescents and adults in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
As a solo provider, I personally evaluate and treat each patient, allowing for continuity of care, individualized treatment, and consistent follow-up. My approach emphasizes thoughtful medication management, clear communication, and supportive care tailored to your needs.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, my Master of Science in Nursing Administration from La Roche College, and completed my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner training at Regis College.
With more than 35 years of nursing experience across public health, school nursing, inpatient psychiatry, and community healthcare settings, I bring a well-rounded and practical perspective to psychiatric care.
My goal is to help patients reduce symptoms, improve daily functioning, strengthen coping skills, and move toward greater stability and overall well-being.
All appointments are provided through secure telehealth for patients located in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
A comprehensive assessment of symptoms, history, and treatment goals to determine the most appropriate level of care.
Ongoing psychiatric medication management with careful monitoring of effectiveness, side effects, and treatment response. Supportive therapy is incorporated into appointments when clinically appropriate.
Individualized treatment recommendations, collaboration with therapists and other providers, and assistance connecting patients with additional mental health resources when needed.
Clear guidance about diagnoses, medications, side effects, and follow-up recommendations so you feel informed and supported throughout treatment.
I offer medication consultation and management across a range of psychiatric conditions for both adolescents and adults.
We'll meet over secure video for a thorough conversation about your symptoms, history, and what you're hoping to address.
Together we'll map out a plan that fits you — medication, referrals, or lifestyle guidance, whatever the right combination looks like.
We'll keep regular check-ins on the calendar so I can monitor how you're doing and adjust your plan as you grow.
I accept most major insurance plans. A note: I'm not currently in network with MassHealth, Medicare, or Neighborhood Plan of RI.
"I began seeing Lisa a few years ago for psychiatric care and, with her help, eventually reached a point where I no longer needed medication. Recently, during a particularly challenging time, I chose to return to her care because of the incredibly positive experience I had before. Lisa is not only highly professional and effective in her approach, but she is also deeply caring and empathetic. She creates a safe, judgment-free space where I truly feel heard and understood. Every question I've had has been answered thoroughly and thoughtfully, and she takes the time to ensure I'm comfortable with every step of my care."
